sorry, I meant EP45-UD3P !
anyway, I did come from Asus board (P5Q pro) to this gigabyte, and I find I can oc much better with gigabyte. On the P5Q I was stuck at 4.0 but I have gone up to 4.3-4.4 stable with the gigabyte.
*only* issue I have now is the S3 sleep issue that's why it's so annoying.
i really hope they can fix it. for now I change to S1 sleep in bios. which does not really do anything. but at least it keep me from crashing.
@luckman212, the S3 issue has been around for some since the original BIOS release, sadly. I don't think we're ever going to see a fix for it. I just use hibernate now instead.
Some people have had success with tweaking CPU Reference voltage. Try 2 ticks both up and down of the default 0.760V @ 1.2V CPU Term and see if that helps. I believe Chike (regular poster) solved his S3 issues this way and now he can successfully sleep and resume when OC'd to 3.8GHz.

No just up to 3.5GHz, 3.6GHz and above never wake up. I use hibernate too which is also safer. Would rather shut it down completely if I didn't have a driver that needs baby sitting after a reboot.
Improve Memory/VGA card compatibilities

Thanks Stasio. Version 1.6 RAM problems are probably the number one post topic for this board. Recommending people flash to this first before trouble shooting will be very useful.

Same here. There's just a point where it ceases to work and it doesn't make any sense. S1 sleep works. The pc is stable. The devices CAN resume.... it just doesn't make any sense at all.
well, since flashing bios .FC for my ep45-ud3p v1.6, I cannot get the Realtek Gigabit LAN (1 or 2) to function. They just say "CODE 10 - cannot start" in Win7 x64. Tried updating driver, remove from device manager & reinstall etc. No go. Nothing else changed.
S3 sleep is still BROKEN.
Hibernate is still BROKEN.
grrrrrrr
what a waste. Will go back to FDa bios if I can't get the LANs to function. this happen to anybody else?
edit:
after googling, I found that Qflash is the only way to reliably flash... I reflashed using Qflash (F8 from BIOS) and cleared DMI. After reboot, LAN1&2 were working again.

Good to hear. @BIOS is indeed dodgy. Gigabyte would be doing everyone a favour if they removed it from their site and board CD's.
please fix the first page of the BIOS GA-EP45-UD3R, something that does not see it:)
Could you please explain your problem again? What is it that you don't see? Are you seeing no BIOS menu or is it corrupt/random letters/numbers etc?
Stasio only posts BIOS's here out of kindless. He isn't involved in making them. I don't know if you can send feedback to anyone. Gigabyte tech support will just tell you to use a non beta version. If you find any beta BIOS unusable, there's no other option but to flash back I'm afraid. A beta is a beta, stable and "safe" but with possible issues.
As for S3 sleep, I've given up on that ever working, at least on the P45-UD3x(x) series (all boards inc the UD3LR etc have had issues from people's reports). Hybernate works OK for me though. S3 never resumes, I have to cut power, hold the bower button for 10 sec, power on and boot over again. S1 sleep does work and resume for me, but of course S3 is so much more efficient etc, basically very different to S3.
