It has been a very long time since I have last used a floppy disk, but anyway, 5 minutes seems to be way long to read a 1MB image.
Maybe you'd have better luck with a USB Flash drive.
Also do not use any OC settings while flashing. http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/bios...h-guide-27576/
The latest f4 bios for the ga-x58a-ud3r reboots instead of shuting down on win 7 64bit I own 2 of these boards different gear in both systems suffer the same issue
I think F11 for ex58 ud5 is a break through bios, for me. Here a some numbers to chew on. Check out the vcore and high temps runinng LinX for 50 passes @ 4.2ghz. Before I had to run vcore @ 1.3000 with high temp of 82c, I'm very pleasssssssed.
Hmm ... it wasn't that great for me :(
I kept getting BSODs while loading Win7. After 2-3 BSODs it finally loaded ok, but once i rebooted the problem was back. I only got it to be stable with the DRAM value set to AUTO (which put out 1.8V to my dimms, too high for my comfort).
I finally switched back to F9x due to this annoying issue and my DRAM voltage is 1.68V with the same OC.
Wow, PHILLYWOOD, that is some sweet 920 you are working with. Awesome vCore at 4.2GHz. Well done. Seeing posts like that make the hassle of keeping up with the BIOS beta updates worthwhile.
