Hi been trying to find out any details on whats new in the GA-EP45-DS3 - F10c bios but cant find it on gigabytes web site , what does the "c" stand for ?
I cannot find any info on F10c, but I did find you the following (Thanks JZ)
F10a = Update Intel AHCI ROM 1.20E
F9 = New Q Flash version 2.07 + fix Vista S3 bug
So F10c would include those updates of course, and any other new fixes or features not included in the previous change logs.
I suggest the latest beta always, unless you see users mentioning specific issues they are normally the best to use. I only use beta's myself, never final, the beta's have fixes and improvements long before the final ones do.
Please use Qflash or DOS to update your BIOS, if you need help we have a guide for flashing sticky'd. And of course if you have any other question or issues, or find a problem with that BIOS be sure to let us know.
thanks for the info , i always thought beta's were the ones to stay away from lol , im in the uk so its 4.33am so off to bed but will give it a go later .
No way, unless you hear about an issue I believe they are the ones you should use. Of course from time to time a problematic one is made available, but we are usually quickly notified and a new one is made shortly after.
Good luck, you should be fine with that beta, I have not heard any issues with it.
Found a problem with Bios F10 and also noticed it on the last beta before final for ep45-ud3p which is I cant us my logitech g15 keyboard when I boot to a bootable usb drive with Quick boot turned on. Well I can use ctrl+alt+del or caps or num lock but no letters. If I reboot and disable quick boot I have full function over keyboard.

They are probably aware of this, I know they just added compatibility for several models and that keyboard and with Quick boot being so new I am sure they are still working on it.
Please send in a report and ask that they forward your info to the BIOS Engineers, just in case they are not aware of the issue and do not see your post here GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Technical Service Zone
Is Quick boot really worth it? I mean how much quicker does it boot, and does this apply also to AHCI/RAID enabled settings? Just wondering, haven't had time to play with it yet myself.
I submitted it. With this offical f10 bios yeah I say its worth it. Some times when I turn on the computer I dont even see the first bios screen. First thing i see is detecting hdd's in ahci rom. I say it cuts out about 5 sec. ball park max.

Ahh terrible. I'd rather see the Gigabyte logo only, then windows, no AHCI or detecting hardware screen.
