I have noticed that the bios of the EP45-UDs doesn't support the regulation of the fan speed as ASUS does.
Then I have sent a suggestion to the "Gigabyte Global Technical Serice" to resolve this lack.
My suggestion is add in the BIOS the simple "Fan Profile" option, as ASUS uses to work.
"PWM Fan Profile" -> "Standard / Silent / Turbo" for 4Pin Fan
"Other Fan" -> "% Voltage" or "1/x Voltage" for 3Pin Fan.
The Answer: This mail has been forward to relevant department, possible improvement will be made under a comprehensive evaluation.
Than..do you think that can be done in the next bios for EP45-UD3R?

I believe that would be a hardware limitation more than just adding it to the BIOS, depending on how the voltage is currently regulated. A board revision would probably be needed. However, I haven't had an issue when using the CPU fan regulation on my board. I can see my fan go from approx. 1k rpm to 2500 rpm when running stability tests. More system fan control would be nice.
Is there any possible chance to get all the beta bioses for the X58-UD5?
Really want to test out the F4m and F4j
BetaBIOS F4j and F4m for GA-EX58-UD5 has not been released.
Btw,
GA-EX58-UD5
BetaBIOS F4h-page 6
BetaBIOS F4k-page 8
BetaBIOS F4l-page 10/11
BetaBIOS F4n-page 12
If you really want all BIOS's for UD5,PM your mail address.

It's really strange that nobody asks a solution to the lack.
I believe that "ITE" chip, inside GA EP45UDxx, doesn't have any limitation in terms of regulation, as voltage or PWM profiling. The explanation and the authority it would benefit of "TweakTown Forums" to facilitate the resolution to the cause.
the UD3P can control fans , i also dont know why there isnt a option in the bios (in speed fan you can go to advanced and have to set a parameter of the chip from on/off to software controlled , or smart guardian the first one is the cpu (so best to leave that one alone 2 and 3 are configurable)
-> PWM 1 mode : SmartGuardian <- this is the cpu port (smartgurdian is for auto cpu fan control)
-> PWM 2 mode : ON/OFF <-- set to software controlled
-> PWM 3 mode : ON/OFF <-- set to software controlled
i have successfully been able to control the fan (4pin connector, by the ide port) (front case fans), i haven't been able to get the back fans to control though and i haven't tested the port by the ATX connecter, it could just be a limitation of the current speedfan, or the system, but i do know some of the ports do have controls., most likely the ones hooked to the IT8718F chip
And when i whent into GA website to see what BIOS i can use to update
And i wonder what does this bios fix and do ?
GA-965P-DS3 - F14a ? named "Beta Bios" that is then only one i can find on GA's website for my BoDo
And i saw in here it was eaven GA-965P-DS3 - F14b ? and what does this do ?
