I ordered g1.sniper z87 and i7 4771 and will get today. I will set turbo for all 4 cores to 3.9Ghz, but i'm not optimist. The mobo released Q4 2013, when intel lock this function - to boost to max turbo all 4 cores for non K processors.
Hi I've just picked up ga-z77x-ud3h (rev 1.2) and installed FBb (I guess that is the equivalent to F20e for the previous revs.) to be able to use Windows 8 features, vgop/secureboot/etc.. Now the only problem I'm having is Turbo Boost OC funtions, if I change the multiplier to anything else than Auto, for example 42 on all cores the multiplier gets stuck @3.3GHz (i5-2500K), I've cleared the CMOS and took out the battery, but still the same issue.
Maybe it's expected for this Beta bios? Any thoughts?

That sounds like a bug, but if the general multiplier setting works, you might just want to use that, because it's actually also using the Turbo Boost feature of the CPU, isn't changing the base multiplier at all.
That single multiplier setting called "CPU clock ratio" at the very top of that page where you set Turbo Boost settings, that setting is like some sort of macro, will change the Turbo Boost multipliers to that value and remove the power limits. On my Z77X-D3H (Rev. 1.1), this only works right if you leave everything about Turbo Boost on "Auto".
GA-Z87-HD3 F7- BIOS no more fixes the UEFI mouse responsiveness (fixed in previous Beta versions).
Until now F7c beta seems to be most "fixed" one.
It seems to me weird that Beta F7d still available for download from MB support page.
With F7d it is impossible to manually set anything, that related to CPU frequency/voltage.
Any settings change leads to reload with BIOS defaults.
Hmm......I see most of you are up to the new boards with Z68 and Z67 and such....I still have my trusty GA-X58A-UD7 v.1 and will for another year or two....and I have a problem...I think it is BIOS-related and sorry to divert all you brainy people to 'old matters, but I hope someone can help.
All was working fine. I had long had the latest beta BIOS [F9d]. I've long had 24 GB memory [very good Corsair XMS3 2000 C9 Triple channel - worked fine - all recognized].....and have long had an Intel i7 930 with it. No special problems....until....I decided to get a good-used i7 990X as my last 'hurrah' with this set up.
I changed the CPU and turned on the computer. To my alarm, in the BIOS it showed all 24GB of memory, BUT ONLY 16GB ENABLED!?!. I've tried everything I can think of to 'enable' the remaining memory. I've run memory tests - all OK. Strangely both CPU-Z and the Intel processor testing program [which finds the CPU OK] 'see' all 24 GB.....but BIOS sees only 16 - there are dashes in the enabled line for the last two banks. I've switched around the sticks - no change. On boot up it will search for the 'missing' RAM and four times shut-down and re-boot...then as if giving up...on the fourth try will boot...but there are problems....they don't show right away.....but the computer after some half-hour to several hours will either freeze up or some programs will....I presume all this is memory related. I've thought and searched and can think of only two things. 1] bent pins on the plate that holds the CPU - but can't see any - don't have a microscope handy! or 2] some setting in BIOS that was NOT needed before - or changed without my knowing.
To make it even more confusing....I put the 930 back in [sure that all memory would be seen], and again now only 16 GB of memory are enabled but all are shown as IN the SLOTS - in BIOS. Help! Any ideas. Should I reflash the same Bios? Use another one? Set something in Bios?
The exact model of memory is two sets of CMX12GX3M3A200C9. As things are now, the computer is barely usable.....with either CPU! Thanks much for any suggestions!!!

Try to clear your cmos for 10mins with battery out. You forgot the old school dude when plugging a new hardware
Thanks, I had forgotten that [although I had set all to default / optimal / fail-safe settings]. So, I just tried this and it didn't work.....same 16 of 24 GB in BIOS. Any other ideas, anyone! The computer is barely functional now....it keeps freezing up. Thanks in advance.

Check your CPU socket pins.....
Ohhh....you already check...
Try to install back previous CPU (if you didn't sold).
I would use the latest modded bios for your board ...even if its beta ...get a can of compressed air as well ....blow out the socket and just check with a pin that there springy and all level ..I think you've damaged the socket tbh ... get a bright light on it. Check for pressure cracks round the socket as well ...and the memory lanes ....sometimes we get to forcefull without realising ....ive done it once ....the cpu holder bracket was too bloody hard ...its went crack!!! got a replacement though lol
