Spoke to soon lol, can't get into bios again now. Same issue if I press DEL during boot up I get a black screen. If I press nothing it will boot into Windows and run fine.
So the PC will run but not allow me into the bios, hopefully an update will fix this issue?
*Update*
It's def a HDD thing, with the old HDD drives unplugged I can get into bios fine. I've updated them both (Barracuda) to the latest firmware but issue still persists. Is this some kind of Bios UEFI incompatibly problem, will Gigabyte be able to fix with Bios or should I buy a different motherboard?
I had this issue with a hdd on my system z87 gigabyte and z97 and it was unfixable the only way to bypass it was to power up the hdd`s before starting up the system using OC ignition
with the faulty hdd unplugged i could get into the bios no problem. the above was the only work around
if you dont have oc ignition or something like that on that board then you have 2 choices, remove the hdd / back it up and bin it or use oc ignition... or last option but its annoying, unplug the affected hdd until os is booted then plug it back in and set that port in bios as hotplug.
Not with latest BIOS....
@stock CPU VID voltage arround ~1.200V... (4790K).
You got also F6d on GB web page.....
Thank you Stasio, tests went smoothly over the weekend as you said. No funny vcore surprises with the latest bios on the z97x-ud5h. Will try some overclocks later when I have some time, cheers.
Hmm how interesting.. ASUS still updates their BIOS for their Z77 boards in 2014.. yet Gigabyte refused to after numerous attempts of contact by me supplying certain issues. I know where I will take my money from now on (and where my customers will as well).
man are gigabyte ever going to release a updated z97 soc force bios lol F7.D is old lol :(:(:( they seem more intrested in x99 lol
A few days after never. Gigabyte is a bottom feeder when it comes to updating BIOS. A shame, because they have decent products, yet horrid continued support of them. Customer support on the phone has been helpful and nice though, but their Product support does not exist. They're only interest in one thing: making you buy the newest board they produce while leaving bugs on it so you are forced to buy "the fix". ASUS from now on for me and everyone who I build for. Been purchasing Gigabyte products since the late 90's, and its time to cut the dead weight.
Is there a new bios for the z97m D3H version 1.0 . I have f5 now but I crash sometimes due to having maybe an old nvidia gtx ti560ti with 3.2 or 3.4 drivers or the gigabyte app
