OK so hello from me too guys! First time writing here! I have a question for you! Long story sort i have
GA-Z170X-Gaming 5 (rev. 1.0) never updated bios. Now with all the vulnerabilities and all, and cause i will format my PC, is it needed to update my BIOS to the latest version 22f (released 2018/03/09) and if so how easy is it to do so? Thanks in advance, any help will be appreciated!
Try using the Gigabyte "@Bios" Windows utility for that specific board.
My similar GA-Z170MX-Gaming-5 board updated without problem to the March 2018 bios version, which is supposed to address the Spectre/Meltdown security issue.
Mate have you started to modify these bios`s yet for the gigabyte z370 7 motherboard
i gather the latest is F6 - Octane Memory Enable was the latest...
Also for some reason with my z97x board i use to be able to press F2 to go to classic bios is there a option like that for Z370 as i find for some reason not quite use to this new bios`s layout seems very basic looking.
also another thing i dont quite like on this new 7 gaming board is there is no HDD led indecator on the motherboard to signal hdd/ssd activity lol but thats just a pet peev.
