Now saving BIOS profiles and using with the same version is fine, maybe even the same series such as F7x and F7x but even that I would not advise because often there are settings under the hood that you may or may not want saved or applied between them.
Either way when using a new BIOS you should start over anyway, and not expect things to run the same because they ARE NOT the same at all. More goes into a BIOS then just a few pieces of code and a setting here or there. MANY changes are present between all BIOS revisions, not just the ones we are aware of.
