I'm new to this forum and to gigabyte products overall.
I've pureshed the b550 vision d-p, bult it with a ryzen 5 5600x and worked right out of the box. But my kraken x62 aio and uni fan hub are not found by the motherboard. Then all of a sound it found the nzxt but not the fan hub... After 5 sekunds of joy the sound of USB disconnect and reconnect starter to blast from my headphones, non stop... I've upptated the bios to 12g, because there is nothing higher on GB website...
My question is, can I use the B500 vision d bios that is getting posted here or will it fry my motherboard?
Doesn't sound like a Bios issue at all. Could be the monitor needs a firmware update. Have you tried talking to the monitor manufacturer? Maybe the monitor wasn't designed to be 'used as a hub for your Logitech G560 speakers'.
Hmm. I've had the monitor for a while now and it just started happening with the latest BIOSs from Gigabyte. The monitor is Gigabyte also. Well, technically Aorus, but whatever. What is weird is that RGB Fusion restarts as well by looking at the event log. But I don't see any errors or any other indicator of the issue. I'm going to try and use a different USB port. The only reason I'm using the monitor as a pass-through for the sound is that I have a PS4 hooked up to it as well and that is using the small analog headphone jack connector so I can get sound from both my PC and the PS4 without having to change the connectors. Thanks for the help.
I have a keyboard that was released last year, and it exhibits the same issue. 0 issues when connected to an Intel laptop.
If AMD is unable to fix the problem (they officially promised a fix 100+ days ago) then buying an Intel machine is a better investment of time and money.
I've used two keyboards with my Aorus X570 Master--never had the problem. Wish I had a suggestion for you...now on F34a
The other day I recommended a Redragon Laser mouse--a couple of days ago was Amazon Prime day and I ordered a Razer Basilisk V2 wired mouse (I hate batteries and won't go wireless) for $30. It came today and I'm using it now. I have to say this is a much better mouse! I ran both mice, the RD M990 Legend and the Basilisk V2 wired @ 12k DPI, and I can easily see and feel the difference. Both are laser mice by the way, but I am still surprised and pleased by how much smoother the Basilisk V2 tracks on screen and feels on the pad--I even like the shape and size and weight better than the M990. M990 is not a bad mouse for ~$39, but if you can get the V2 Basilisk wired for $40 or less, that one has my recommendation as of today! Almost forgot--I also like the wired cord of the Basilisk V2 a lot better than the M990 Legend's! The Legend's cord was stiff and tended to stay stiff whereas the V2 Basilisk's is very flexible--both are braided, but there's a big difference in the two cords. As mentioned in earlier posts, I have the mouse and keyboard connected to the x570 Master's backplate USB 2.0 ports and have zero disconnection issues. Running latest versions of the x570 chipset drivers, as always, ever since F4. Also, the control software for both is pretty much equal, but if you are an aRGB fan (I am not) the Basilisk V2 definitely has more options for that.
Note that Windows 11 needs TPM 2.0 and the upgrade checker will say our new PCs arent upgradable without it
There will surely be much concern on the internet over the next year about this - but dont worry Ryzen has fTPM built in
Simply enable AMD CPU fTPM in BIOS and now our PCs are W11 compatible without buying a plug-in TPM module
I wish they made a version of windows for people who only use their PC for gaming. I turn off the TPM in the bios because I don't care. Do consoles have a TPM?
As well as Ryzen having fTPM which passes the W11 check without a hardware TPM module, Intel have PTT which can also be enabled in BIOS.
However processors from 2016 or earlier still fail the W11 check so you'll need hardware from the last few years for W11.
Relying on firmware TPM is OK (and TPM modules are selling out faster than GPUs) but after a BIOS update it will reset so it'll be fun getting Windows booted. They've made W11 unfriendly to self built PCs.

M$ will lose a fortune on Win 11. Ppl will just keep using Win 10 for the next decade. Users will vote with their wallet and M$ will reverse course in a heartbeat. Somebody in their Ivory Tower just didn't think this through. Even the board makers were taken by surprise. Bad news for M$ all around.
This specification details the AMD processors that can be used with Windows 11 customer systems that include Windows products, including custom images.
Well you can opt for Backwards Compatibility or getting Best Performance from a new mobo. You can't have it both ways. Just because an old part will run doesn't mean your overall performance won't take a big hit. A Chain is only as strong as it's weakest link.
Bollocks. If the motherboard doesn't support USB 1.0 connectivity it's violating the USB certification.

I don't think you understand how USB works. It's a standard that devices need to meet to ensure interoperability. The monitor doesn't need to be designed to be used as a hub for specific speakers. The monitor has a generic audio input that is exposed via USB. What does sound like a BIOS issue is that there's widespread complaints about AMD systems having USB stability issues, which BIOS updates are supposed to fix (either AGESA or other tweaks). Corrupt USB audio is one of the known symptoms of the USB stability problems.
Well, then, it's an AMD issue my AMD motherboard doesn't have...lol...;)
"It doesn't affect me so therefore it can't affect anyone else". Of course these issues are sporadic, if USB never worked at all on these devices they wouldn't have shipped.
Yesterday the official requirements of Windows 11 were shown and it is said that the computer must implement TPM 2.0, reviewing the Bios and knowing that Ryzen implements TPM I have seen that there is the option "AMD fTPM" that activates the TPM module by firmware instead of by hardware ... my question is: - I have read that if I activate it, it is not allowed to update the bios ... I understand that to update the bios I must first deactivate it - What about windows? If I install it with active fTPM, will I no longer be able to use it if fTPM is not active? What if I update bios and the keys are deleted ... will windows stop working?
As TPM modules are out of stock the only option is enable AMD fTPM or Intel PTT
Its easy to disable fTPM if this is really necessary before update BIOS
If you forget to re-enable fTPM then maybe W11 wont boot or maybe its only an install problem.
In any case its a AMD CPU or Intel ME feature not BIOS.
No-one knows whether activation key will be stored in the TPM but activation does not stop windows booting and re-activation is easy.
As well as needing TPM and GPT format drive, the other big problem is needing 8th gen Intel CPU or Ryzen 2000 or newer.
Basically the requirements for W11 are terrible and MS need to reconsider.
