P35-DS4 and Vista SP1

Hi, hope someone can give me a quick rundown on this. I am planning to upgrade my XP to Vista SP1. My mobo is v1.0 and bios is still F6. Should I upgrade the bios first?

Also, if I use Q-flash with a thumbdrive (Fat16/32) must I still change anything in the bios to let Qflash detect it? Thanks in advance.

P.S. Can I jump to F13 from F6?

I would update it just because that BIOS is old.

Yes, Legacy USB Storage Detect must be enabled. It is by default so if you have not disabled it then it should be already enabled. Please do read this guide >>>
