Hello, i connected all my hardisks and dvd-rom on intel sata ports. Then i tried to make a volume of 150 GB, with stripe=64KB in raid0 and a volume in RAID1 with the rest of space on my two Western Digital RE3 320 GB hardisk. All was Ok, so i installed Windows Vista SP1 64 bit, in the RAID0 Volume, using a floppy with the last Intel raid drivers. After this, the system was ok, but now, when i turn on my pc for the first time, the raid can't start, because the two RE3 are reported as "OFFLINE MEMBERS" from Intel controller!!! The hardisks seem off, and the only way to turn they on is to start Kubuntu 8.10(installed(with grub) on another hardisk, a 500 GB Hitachi, regulary on) that seems to turn they on when it checks devices state. In fact, only after i reboot system, from Linux, the hardisk(wd only, the hitachi is always on) are finally on and Intel's controller can starts the raid again! So, is there any setting or bios update to force hardisk detect, when i turn on(first/cold boot) my pc, without entering in Linux?
