    E7400 cpu (10.5x266)
    GA-EP43-DS3L Rev1.0 motherboard Bios F8
    OCZ Stealth Xtreme 500w psu
    2x1gb OCZ2P800R22GK ram @2.1v
BFG 8800gts 640 OC video card

I can't get this new machine to pass prime95 or memtest. It comes up with errors within a few minutes. It is a 2x1gb dual channel kit, rated to run 5-5-5-15 at 2.1v.

I've tried running a single stick at a time which is more stable but still fails after about 45 minutes running memtest86 (compared to a few minutes in dual channel). I tried the two sticks in slots 1,3 and 2,4.

    Board bios: F8

Running memory at 5-5-5-15, and tried 4-4-4-15. tried tRAS =42, and tried tRAS=62. Also tried setting static tread to 12.

    Mem voltage: 2.1v

    mch voltage: 1.2v

    Robust Graphics: Fast

    ---

I also tried lowering the ram to run at 533mhz at 1:1, but it still came up with errors. (did this using both sticks).

    Any ideas?

    Re: GA-EP43-DS3L w/ OCZ2P800R22GK

For 2x1GB you should leave MCH on Auto, should be fine unless you are running a high FSB.

What Memory multi are you using? Do you have performance enhance on standard?

tRFC can be left at 42 for 2x1GB, I think that is what you meant for tRAS. If you did not, then you have somethings confused maybe? tRAS should be set to what your stick says, normally this is 12 or 15 or 18. It is the last timing labeled on the stick of the MAIN timings. Like 444-12 or 555-15.

Anything above what your stick says is not needed for sure. I see 444-15 for your model's timings so you should have tRAS at 15 only. This is your model correct? Just checking, either way 12-18 should be the max >>>
