Re: UD3P+8500 Over 4.1ghz is it posbile?

tWR needs to be higher then tWTR and I see it is not, but that may be all due to your multi you are using or the use of auto. Set them manually for sure so you can sort that out as a non issue

If you are still using the settings from post one, try these with all my changes noted

Hey not sure what FSB you are trying to use? You have 490 and 500 listed?

Hi Lsdmeasap, thanks for your shoot... but i have to say, none of your settings gave better stability, it gave me more instability...

tWR is higher than tWTR on BIOS on memtest i dont see where is the tWR value, but as you can see below on everest seems to be higher...I dont know which program is right or BIOS is right...

Re: UD3P+8500 Over 4.1ghz is it posbile?

Your into the area where each component relies on the settings for another a lot it looks like.
The 8500/8400 and the crucial must be fairly popular? and if 4.25 is doable fully stable, are u getting feedback on other forums?
I know you have the case off/open ,but do you have a 120mm $10 or whatever they are fan blowing down on nthbridge/memory,easy extra cooling for the price since the temp readings around there arent 100% accurate?.
I have mine at like a 45* anglebecause from the front it looks like the sticks could shield each other and the nb+mbrd power cable in the way,and from directly above the mbrd the nb hs seems to shield the base .Couldnt hurt anyway.

Other than that have u actually gone far with the 8x multiplier?the speed would be actually right on what your memory is rated at for 4.25Ghz,I dont mean just because i had an interest in the memory,or maybe there is a known probem with 1066(1:1) and e8500 above 4.2?

Re: UD3P+8500 Over 4.1ghz is it posbile?

tWR in Memset is Write to Precharge Delay, I have outlined what is what in the Memset Vs BIOS sticky >>>

What do you have set for each in the BIOS, this is what matters because memset and Everest will show different values anyway depending on the Memory multi used and strap you are running

I need to know exactly what you set from what I advised that failed so I can advise back though

You are using too much MCH Core, that is why all other setting changes are failing. Also put all things you have "Normal" on to Auto

What you need to do before even thinking about Orthos or Prime is run 5-10 passes of Memtest86+ on your memory to be sure those are stable memory settings (Whatever you have set right then) and then if they are ok but you fail orthos or prime then you know you have NB or CPU related issues.

Memtest should always be first so you know the ram is stable. And I do think it likely is and your issue lies with CPU or MCH settings

MCH Ref, did you try .70 or .745 yet instead of .68, that may be to low

Make these changes and tests again with memtest, then Blend >>>

                CPU Clock Drive.................................[ 700mv ] << Set 800
PCI Express Clock Drive.........................[ 900mv ]
                CPU Clock Skew..................................[ 50ps ] << Set 0

Drive Strength Profile BOTH CHANNELS ..........................[ Auto ] << Try 1066

                CPU Reference [ 0.760 ]...................[ 0.888 ] ET6 Show 0.800 << Set AUTO

MCH Core [1.1 ]...................[ 1.40 ] << WOW, why so much? Try out 1.24-1.3, and also try 1.05-1.15

                DRAM Voltage [1.800 ]...................[ 2.080 ] << Set 2.12

If none of that helps, try a higher MCH Ref amount like .73-.78%

I can run stable orthos or prime until the FFT`s 768 or 896 around 1h of test. When is in that zone the computer restart, but the curious is if i run just this FFT`s on custom test i pass without problem.

Any suggestion to get stability beyond that?

Re: UD3P+8500 Over 4.1ghz is it posbile?

                    Try CPU Clock drive 800

And try Less MCH Core (Still advising this) and more MCH Ref (like .74-.80)

Have you used Driving strength profiles? 1066 should work good for that

Nice to see you getting somewhere now!!!

Which setting was it or what advice was it I gave that helped?

Good luck on further tweaking! That is pretty high clocks for sure already though!
