I was cleaning out my case today and noticed something interesting when I plugged back in my system. When I turned on the power, it would start for about a second, turn off then turn back on again and do all the boot procedures. It will work fine if it's shut down and the power supply is still warm. This only occurs when the PSU is turned off then turned back on.
This is the first time its been happening, though I began overclocking my computer about 4 days ago and got it to 3.0ghz without much problems, after referring to other threads here and other forums. I'm wondering if this cold boot symptom is more setting related than PSU related since this happened post OC.
I know that the system may shutdown once and reboot if voltage settings are changed in the BIOS but having it shutdown then reboot pushing the on button seems to be something of concern. I've tried a couple options:
1. Reloading optimized defaults, reboot, then reapplying my settings. No impact.
2. Disabling C1E and EIST. No impact.
System Config:
Intel Q6600 (OC'd to 3.0ghz)
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
EP45-DS3L
2*2GB G.Skill DDR2 1000
Corsair 520HX
ATi Radeon HD4850 512MB
1 Seagate 7200.11 1TB (not affected by the bad firmware yay)
1 Seagate 7200.7 250GB
I may try reloading the F10 BIOS later if recommended. Below are my settings

I'm aware that my standard settings inclue C1E and EIST but the system is still stable with those settings on, though Vdroop brings it down to 1.200V under full load. The system passes 30 passes of IBT for Vcore/CPU testing and 6 hrs of Prime95 blend for FSB/mem testing.
My guess is that this symptom is benign since it doesn't reset my BIOS settings but I'd like to hear from someone like LSD just in case something is wrong with my settings or PSU.
Thanks
