Theres nothing like some unusual Hard Drive Noises to make you think about backing up and Redundancies. Ive decided to go with a RAID 1 Setup.
Now I know little about RAID as Ive never used it. But I have spent all night researching it on the web and it sounds easy enough. However I want to push the envolope a little. To make life much easier Id like it if I could image the drive Ive got already from a non RAID setup to a RAID 1 Setup. I have Norton Ghost 14 which I think will do a pretty good "image" of my drive.
So Basically, I would like to have an "Image" of my 750GB single drive, Vista basic 32bit working on a new RAID one set up with 2 X 1TB Drives. Is this Possible?
If not then I guess Ill just have to do a full fresh install, which will be such a pain cause its taken me ages to get this system working the way I want it. Currently the drive I want to move to RAID 1 has 401GB of info on it.
I know there are some super brainy people on this forum, and im sure there is a option. Also I did read somewere that in the RAID bios menu there is an option to build an Array from existing data. I would want to use the ICH9 controlller Id imagine.
Any input would be most appreciated.![Ponder](https://www.tweaktownforum.com/core/images/smilies/ponder.gif)
