  • Phase LED Question

Sorry if someone has already post this before but i can't seem to find it after some searching on this forum and on the web.

Is it normal to have phase LED's turn on during boot up and then turns off by itself when it finishes DMI Verification (not sure about the spelling)?

My system works fine in windows xp pro 32bit. But i don't recall the LED's turning off after boot. Also I don't have DES software on because I oc my cpu to 3.0Ghz. I tried running Prime95 for 30 mins to let the cpu work full load and still the phase LED's don't show any signs.

    Re: Phase LED Question

The LEDs are turned off after booting if DES is NOT enabled, at least that's what I think I read in the mobo user manual.

      Re: Phase LED Question

Thanks ProfJim. The system does run fine without phase LED lighting up. I didn't install DES software on my board because most people don't recommend it on this forum if you were to oc the cpu.
