GA-EP45-UD3P won't post

I have this motherboard that refuses to post.
I have swapped out:
- 3 power supplies
- done 4 sticks ram 1 at a time
- changed same brand/model motherboards
- unplugged pretty much everything not needed

what happens is that when I start it up, it goes for say 5 seconds then turns off, then immediately tries again. could this be caused by a bad processor? that is really all that is left, unless all the ram went bad at once?

I am also wondering if this is a symptom of something else (like a video card being out of its slot), just so I know (just because I when testing I was unplugging pretty everything including video card and ram, and it would still do this).

Beside of CPU(PSU),only RAM is important for POST.Be sure your RAM sticks contacts are clean.

Try booting with only 1 memory module that is rated at DDR2-800 @ 1.8 volts. If you can boot and enter the bios:

1) Load OPTIMIZED DEFAULTS.
2) Change DRAM voltage to the rated specs for your memory.
3) Save settings and exit.
4) Power off your computer.
5) Unplug the external power cord.
6) Install only 1 of your regular memory modules.
7) Start up your computer.

If this doesn't work, use the forum's SEARCH feature, using:

boot+fail
or
reboot+loop

just a shot in the dark here, but make sure you have all the plugs for your video card plugged in as well. that will prevent it from booting up.
