        Re: x58 Extreme

That doesnt sounds real good. But Im worried that possibly you have a bad PSU. As I can understand that if your MB decided to fry you may loose a ram stick or to but I wouldnt have though much current if any would go up the sata lead. Do you have another PSU to try? Id be looking there first. And if all else fails, start by removing every non essential item. Try and Boot with 1 ram stick, and 1 graphics card. Just load BIOS optimum Defaults and maybe you could update to the latest BIOS if you havent Already?

          Re: x58 Extreme

Well thing is that i cant even reach bios or get a signal to the screen as the gpu wont power up even when i used a a diffrent psu (corsair 650) , but i have given up hope about that board and now im focusing on the "new " one that is giving me error "scanning bios image in hard drive" and thx for the tip.

Shhhh. Dont tell anyone. Yeah I know what your saying, its usually a long and painful process to send your new stuff back and wait for a replacement. It sucks. I was in your boat. Im sure there will be some others that will chime in with some other suggestions. LSDMEASAP is the local Gigabyte Guru. Im not sure if he's away for a bit or not but He will get to you when he can. Just try and be patient.

                  Re: x58 Extreme

Im putting my faith in to this forum =) I have also sent a messege to the Gigabyte support thingy on the homepage. I have patience so waiting shouldent be an issue its just that i got myself booked for a huge lan event on friday and gaming on my not so kickass laptop is simply not fun . So worst case scenario i will buy a new mobo tomorrow and im afraid it wont be a Gigabyte :/
