  • GA-EX58-UD5 problem booting

    Hi guys
    New here.
Got a problem with my 4 months old PC.
    System is:
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 (Not able to see bios lvl)
    HIS Radeon HD 4870X2
    Kingston DDR3 HyperX 1600MHz 6GB
    Processor i7-920
    Northq Black Magic Flex 850W

Machine was running just fine, then all of a sudden it wouldn't boot.
    No beep codes.
    Nothing on screen.
    All fans running.
Little display on mobo stops at "CI", but i don't use that feature.
    I tried:

Another GFX, in both PCI-e slot.
    All HD's are off.
    A different screen.
Each mem block in each slot and boot.
Removed all mem blocks, which gave me no beep code!?!
CPU clensed and new cooling paste applied.

System ran from day 1 without any issues. Has been running last 4 months. I'm using stock CPU cooling, but CPU never exceeded 50 d. celc. System actually cools so much with Antec 1200 Chassis, that i can feel a cool breeze under the table where is stands.

    Advise please

      Re: GA-EX58-UD5 problem booting

Why Is it that every EX58 series user is having an issue
First try Reset the bios first ,then Load optimised defaults in bios second
then if nothing works u can go for RMA

          Re: GA-EX58-UD5 problem booting

Wierd problem. I was so satisfied with that board. Vista x64 and not one tiny error. Then 1 failure and it seems i have to RMA :-(

I forgot to mention that i did clear cmos of cause.

Wonder if Gigabyte is aware, if so many experienced the same. I can understand that some issue's do happen if peeps OC and fiddle around with bios, but i'm not into OC, and ih've just been running standard.
