  • E7400 w/ EP45-UD3R Overclock experience/recommendations

    Hello guys,

    Has anybody have any experience overclocking e7400 with the EP45-UD3R? How far would it go being stable? I know every chip and board is unique, I just want to have an idea on the potential of my set-up. I have:

    EP45-UD3R
    E7400
    AC Freezer Pro 7
    Asus EN9800 GT
    Corsair TX650W
    2x2gb GSkill F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK

    Thanks.

    I think you can do 3.8-4Ghz depending on your cooling and what voltage you want to push into it.

    Let us know if you need any help and we will try to help ya along

      I am currently using Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro 7, no plans yet on going liquid cooling. How do I start overclocking? If I could reach 3.8 stable on my current cooler, that would be awesome (with the 1 Ghz gain!). If it's not too much to ask, can somebody tell me which voltages I can tweak and to what extent, since there is a lot of them in bios.

      Thanks again

        I've gotten mine to 3.8 but didn't like using 1.4V. Running 3.6 24/7 no problem but i"m using 6400 ram, one of my 8500's was bad. I've got them back, just waiting to get a new video card, then I'll put my new ram in and see what I might be able to get. What is your VID? My bios settings are in this thread;

        I haven't had much luck getting anything higher than 400 FSB, but once the ram is changed I'll play some and see what happens. I'm new to this also but there is a lot of help here and a couple other forums.
