9x450 with 1.1 MCH and 1.34375 VCORE is stable, trying 9x455 now :)
    The question remains though!
edit: looks like 1.34 VTT is another magic number.

I've got some bad new and some bad news.
The bad news is that I just briefly tried some basic benchmark with 450x9 2.40B strap vs 540x7.5 2.00B strap.
      Result? Not very pleasant!
Back to synchronous mode... Bye bye lower temperatures!

How does the D multi's fair for you then at that FSB?

          Haven't tried yet.
*makes a note to do so asap*

Currently in desperate testing Blend, 540x7.5, .720 MCH ref. Usually fails after 15 or so hours :(

The RAM gains are purely from your FSB over clock. Notice how write operations gain a huge amount and read/copy only gain around 500MB-1000MB.

Haha, if this could be a 10 star thread it should be. The amount of good information in here rivals entire forums on other sites.

24hrs of OCCT Medium data set said it had completed without error at the top but Windows reported there was a problem and it needed to close it (When writing the graphs at the end I assume).

I seem to remember people talking about OCCT being buggy, could this be what was meant (Using Windows 7)?

I've had this issue too with OCCT on Win 7. I also assumed that the graphing module/section of the program is the part having trouble. A 24 hour Prime of the same sized data set revealed no errors, which supports this assumption.

Since then I have always run OCCT in Vista SP1 compatibility mode, and have never experienced the error since. Compatibility mode, as far as I can tell, doesn't impact on the stability testing aspect of OCCT and it carries on doing its thing to full effect.

This thread is indeed a great source of info. I feel lucky to be a part of a community that actually follows up on posts and where people make great effort to give others an easy to search and nice to read point of reference.

I am closing in on 24 hours of Blend-like test. If it passes 26 or so, I will consider this template FSB-stable, BUT I still am kinda torn about the random Prime failures. Once it crashes after six hours and then keeps on going for 24+? I don't get it! considering the 450 template didn't fail once started, I suspect some hidden instability somewhere... Grr.

Which test failed at 29+ hours?
Have you tried DanW's extended tests using Blend, small FFTs, and large FFTs?

FWIW, I'm not very stable after 20+ hours, even though my system is ;~)

It was my custom Blend test. 2048-4096 size, 3GB ram used. Imo much more intensive than simple Blend.
Small FFTs are still in progress with 3 steps lower VCORE btw, closing in on 18 hours.
