hi im trying to setup both my sata2 hdds ive tried everything in bios i have onchip sata type (native ide,raid,ahci)
onchip sata port4/5 mode (ide,as sata type)
ive set it as native ide and instaled vista the prob is my drives are reported as ide ata. i did speed tests and there running very slow ive looked everyware about achi and ide and ppl say native ide the drives will still run in sata2 mode but there not. also on the mobo cd the south bus drivers for sata are sb600 driver but my board is sb700 and there some other nb filter driver dunno what this is for i just want my drives to show up as sata2 or run as sata 2 speed plz help my drives are plugged into sata11_0 and sata11_1 cd drive is ide
