  • GA-EP45-UD3L vs Evga 122-CK-NF68-A1

My current mobo the Evga 680i,122-ck-nf68-a1 has died after almost 2 years. I do not use raid, firewire or need a second pci-ex16.

I was thinking about going with this Gigabyte mobo as my replacement. My question is, how will the performance at factory settings be with this mobo compared to my old Evga? I would assume it would be better, since its newer. But its also less than half the price. How does the P45 chip compare to the Nforce 680i.

I will still be using all the components listed in my sig.

    Thanks..

I have 2 other computers with Gigabyte mobo and have been very happy with them.

At stock settings, there won't be any difference in performance.
Overclocking is a different matter entirely, with the EP45 being better.

My original GA-N650SLI-DS4 was a good mobo, until the bios ate itself.
The brand new replacement board was only stable up to 438MHz with my hardware.
The only thing I miss with the N650 is the unlinked memory settings.

My current mobo is a dream, absolutely no regrets.
I think that Gigabyte is still offering a 3 year parts warranty.
