  • GA-EX58-UD3R no sound X-FI Xtreme

Just installed windows 7RC 64 bit on my new i7 system. Installed latest Creative 64 bit drivers for my X-FI Xtreme and could not get any sound. The sound card shows in the device manager and and indicates it is working properly. Can hear the speakers click when windows starts then nothing. My system was set to AHCI mode in bios so I could hot swap my eSATA drive. Out of curiosity I restarted, set my hardrives to IDE mode in bios, and voila the sound card now works perfect but eSATA drive not recognized unless I get windows to search for new device when it is turned on. Any ideas on how to use ACHI mode and get the sound card to work?
