Yeah, but the op has such a nice low vid cpu. It would seem like such a shame if he was not to oc it once he becomes more comfortable with the mobo and the bios. The op should just keep that option open.

im not looking really push my system. Im not gaming on it. Im just doing some video conversions. I dont have any good cooling system so i dont really want to overclock it yet. Im running it with 8g right now and has not crash in last 24hrs. The new specs PROFJIM suggest is for overclocking with a cooling system? Can u give me specs for something I can run with just 2 regular fans for now or should I just keep the specs I have?

The settings I suggested in post #24 would give you a 20% overclock.

1) Save your current stable bios settings as a bios profile using F11 (Save CMOS to BIOS) at the main bios screen. See this post for more info.

2) Make the suggested bios changes, and stress test your system to ensure stability. If these settings are stable, save these settings to a 2nd bios profile. You should monitor your cpu vcore temperatures duing the testing.

If you have any questions, post a screenshot with your temperatures while testing with your system running the stress tests.

BoombasticSloth - i dont have the box anymore. Can i see it in the computer?
PROFJIM - the settings in post #24, will it be safe to run without a cooling sytem?

If you mean that you're using the stock Intel heatsink/fan, temperatures should be OK.
Testing with IBT (Intel BurnTest) always requires close monitoring.
Stress testing with Prime95, OCCT, or Orthos might give cpu core temperatures higher than 60 C, but should be nowhere near cpu throttling temperatures.
