    New build:
    Ga-EP45T-UD3P motherboard
    Q9550
    vista64
    4gb Gskill 1333 DDR3
    PNY GTX 260 graphic card
    WD640 blue
    Viotek 700w psu
    +3.3v 40a
    5v 40a
    12v1 35a
    12v2 N/a
    -12v 0.8a
    +5VSB 2a
    Please look at these PSU specs. and comment weather they will power
    my Gigabyte Ga-EP45T-UD3P mobo,without causing a problem.

          35A on 12V rail with a 700W power supply?

          700W = ~55-70A on 12V.

          Look at the values for the 3.3V and 5V!!!!!!! :O they are 40A each!.... that is where the 700W is going to... 40x3.3 + 40 x 5 = 332W on rails which are barely used today.

            Exactly. It's an ancient design, recycled for cheepness no doubt. It'd actually make a decent PSU for an Athlon XP machine, but as you say, not for anything built in the last 4-5 years.

            To confirm, the maximum available power on a single 12V rail 700W PSU would be exactly 58 1/3A if it were capable of outputing 100% to the 12V line. A multi rail would possibly have some thing like a max of 30A between two or 20A between 3, but OCP would limit the maximum Ampage to the 58 1/3 limit or below. (I = P/V)
