  • CPU Support List

I have a general question about the CPU support list and whether or not my motherboard will actually support the Phenom II X4 if I update the bios to the latest version F8.

    OS: Windows Vista Ultimate
    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H rev 1.1
    Bios: version F5

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Re: CPU Support List

er check the gigabyte site .the cpu support list for your board will tell you ,and also which bios version the support was added in.
If its not there it may still work.. but if it doesnt you wont have any redress.

      Re: CPU Support List

Okay thanks, I think that answered my question. I guess to ask the question in a slightly more specific way, all the processors on the CPU support list for a motherboard will work as long as Gigabyte hasn't posted N/A (not supported) next to it? I'm assuming that's correct.
