GA-MA78GM-US2H RAM Speed

G'day

I just purchased a GA-MA78GM-US2H and 2 * 2GB A-DATA 1066G RAM Modules, & AMD Phenom II X4 810. I installed the components and the auto detect speed of the RAM is 800mhz. If I manually change the speed to 1066 the machine reboots during the initial phase of loading vista. Sometimes the machine won't get past POST and will freeze with the 1066 setting. Any ideas on settings to get reliable opertion at 1066 using these modules?

And you change the voltage with the speed?
Usually the higher soeed needs higher voltage. See the specs for your RAM.

Looks like the RAM can run on 2.1 and it is currently 1.8. Will increase tonight and see how it goes.
