  • Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS4 with Q9550

    Cpu is running at 2.83 i feel no need to overclock it yet, but i get 1min and 30 sec in superpi 1M is that normal ??? and startup is kinda slow i have all things in bios on auto are there any specific vcore i need to put in to make it run better or what??
    Anyone have a tip for me?

    Definitly not. I have no clue about x64 but x86 would be under 20 seconds at this clock.
    Have you loaded BIOS optimized defaults?
    For more than 2x1GB memory it is advised to up the MCH Voltage, you can read bout it here.
    Post a screen grab of cpu-z CPU and MemSet (both channels and SPD) if possible.

      Yeah that doesnt sound right. My 1.4Ghz Celeron M Craptop Does it in 1min 53 Seconds. I would hope my Q9550 does it a damm side quicker. I would just set everything in the BIOS up @ stock speeds but Manually. Set your Ram timmings manually 5-5-5-15 @ what ever volts its suppost to be and yeah Chike says the MCH voltage could be adjusted maybe.

          I can confirm My Q9550 @ 2.83Ghz does a 1M Superpi Calculation in 16.520 Seconds

            hm yep i think i found the problem ;/ i were running it from my usb stick!
            now i get 15 sec, but i will google your superpi mod so i can see 0,000 sec
