  • Few IssuesGIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R

Hello so I been having a issue with my system.

Firstly I keep getting jraid.sys error whenever I don't boot my system up with driver enforcement disabled. This includes safe mode I get this error too. Windows can't repair it.

So I am guessing a format is in order...the issue is I don't RAID.

    Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 @ 400x8- 3.2ghz
    XFX GTX 260 868mb 192 Core
    2x2GB G-skill PC6400 DDR2 800
    Seagate Barracuda 7200.12 ST3500418AS
    GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3R LGA 775 Intel P45
    TX750w Corsair PSU
    1400x900 19' LCD Hanns-G HW191A
    Windows Vista Ultimate x64

Another issue I have is when I format Vista it takes maybe 10-15 mins to get the Language choice of the OS...takes FOREVER to install. The OS itself runs fine but the format is painfully slower then it should be. My mothers AMD gigabyte board formats 2x quicker.

I am using SATA_0 and SATA1 (Yellow) for my HDD and DVD Drive.

Here are my mobo specs...could anything that should/shouldn't be activated here that could effect my above issues/speed?

    Appreciate any help at all.

Also when I overclocked my processor could the fact I run a x8 multi effect anything?

If your not using the Purple g_sata connectors you do not need the gigabyte/jmcron drivers installed. only need installed if you have 2 hdd's connected in a raid setup.

try enabling sata port0-3 native mode. Also use quick format option in vista should take maybe 20-30 sec to format drive.

I never installed RAID drivers reason I don't understand the error. Also your right I am hooked into yellow not purple. How do I remove the raid drivers if they did install somehow?

Well I prefer to format properly just because in the past on XP I ran in to a lot of issues with fast formats.

The problem is my MSI board with a X2 4400+ formatted faster then my current system by about twice as fast doing the same options for format. The delays between Language to Format option for example is greater then it should be.

Also what exactly does sata port0-3 native mode do?
