  • Cant boot if change memory slot ? (EP45-UD3P)

    Why i cant boot if i change my memory to slot 1 or slot 3 or slot 4 ?
    its cant boot too if i added new memory to slot 1 or slot 3 or slot 4

    This is a good question.
    Do you mean you can boot with the memory in slot 2 but not in the other slots?
    If you have another module, does it behave just the same?
    Are all memory modules identical?

    Try to clear your BIOS first. Turn the computer off and switch the PSU off or disconnect it from power. Press Power button for about 10 seconds, then short the CLR_CMOS jumper for a few seconds, by placing a jumper cap on it or with a small screwdriver (See CLR_CMOS in the manual.) Power up, load optimized defaults and save.
    See if the problem still exists.

      This is like the 3rd post or so that it looks like it might be a ep45-ud3p v1.6 problem. Which version is yours 1.0,1.1,1.6?

          I have tried clear cmos
          but it same,
          yes, i mean i can boot with the memory in slot 2 but not in the other slots

            If you have a memory module that works in slot 2 or all of them do, but they do not work in any other slot, I think you should have the motherboard replaced. It is probably defective.
