Can't set CPU multiplier on GA-M750SLI-DS4

I have a Phenom II X4 940 BE and i wanted to OC it. After adjusting the CPU multiplier (for example 16x) the system reboots, passes POST then it hangs and gives me a blank screen after the "verifying DMI pool data" stage. And if i restart, it just doesnt POST at all and i have to clear the CMOS.

I also tried adjusting the multiplier to 15x (which takes the CPU to its original speed 15x200=3000MHz) to see if it's the CPU's problem, it still gave me the same result.

Any advice ?
