  • Requesting help for OC: GA-EP45T-DS3R, Q9300, Corsair DDR3 (1600) - TW3X4G1600C9DHX

    Hi,

PM doesnt seem to work, this was directed to LSDMEASAP but please excuse if i posted this incorrectly.

I've recently decided to OC my rig but i'm stumped. Failures ( IRQL, MEM Manage, page fault), vista load bar freeze, BSOD's and unstability when running Prime TT.

From reading through forums, i found valuably information from your posts and im requesting your help. Below is my current Bios settings which allowed me load to Windows but under the primeTT, cores stopped 40min runtime.

    Specs:
    GA-EP45T-DS3R
    Intel - Q9300 York
    Corsair DDR3 (1600) # TW3X4G1600C9DHX

I've also tried lowering my FSB to 400, with System Mem Multipliyer at 4.00D, making it 3.0ghz @ 1600mhz, increased ram volt to about 1.8 (recommended), it rebooted and reset to default before loading boot screen. then i tried FSB 450, SMM at 3.33D, making it 3.375ghz @ 1500mhz. i got it to load to windows but failed prime TT

FYI: Under default load optimization: FSB is 333 & ram freq. 1066 (77720).

Please offer some assistance in getting my rig to run stable.

    Thank you

I may think about several modifications.
More MCH Core may be needed for higher FSB and memory speed.
Static tRead mey be too low, try 9 or 10.
Memory multipliers do not operate equally at different bus speeds, you may need to find the one that is good for 480FSB. Try 3.20B.
Trying to run memory at it's maximum rated speed may be sometimes a difficult task. A slighty underclocked memory with better timings may give you an equally good results.
And of course, additional Vcpre may be needed as well, but someone with the same processor may have a better idea about that.

i increased my MCH core but it restarted the CPU instantly, ill try to work with timings and MCH as well as Vcore and termination, i will post up some tweaked bios settings.

Are you sure the multipliers are from the D strap?
Try B strap multipliers, they seem to work better at the high 400s.

definitely sure, but ill try B and see if it helps.
