P35-DS3R v1 only detects 3GB

I have this MOBO for 3 years.

The whole system description is:
CPU: E6850 3.0 GHz
Memory G.Skill F2-6400CL4D 2GB (2x1 GB) 4-4-4-12
MOBO: P35DS3R v1 BIOS F13
Graphic card ATI Raedon 1950XT PCI-Ex16

Recently I bought two more sticks of RAM. I bought the same model as I depicted over, but the BIOS only detects 31444.... bytes (3 GB). BIOS features are in default mode and no OC is made.
FSB 333
Mult 9x

Can anyone help me? What is the problem?

Try the new sticks pait only in slot 2 & 4 see if it shows 2G, if not try them in slot 1 & 3.

Thank you for your reply! I have done some more tests and finally I found than second slot don't work at all. What can I do? I have to change the MOBO? I'm sure 2nd slot doesn't work at all...

After 3 years it's warrenty expired I assume. A 2x4 GB kit would probably work for you.
Using only 3 sticks would not give best performance but may work if you don't mind.
A 32bit OS will not the whole 4GB anyway, but only ~3GB, just FYI.

I have been looking for the invoice and I found 23th of sept 2007! I will try to apply the warrenty!

You never did say, are you using 32bit OS?
