faulty gigabyte ex58 ud5?

hey guys,

i got gigabyte ud 5 working fine yesterday, until today when i just about to boot the computer, it suddenly wont detect any of my sata drive. is this faulty motherboard or just my hdd.

try clearing cmos with the button on the back power down pc but dont turn off and press and hold for 5 seconds and release then re-boot

did that and still doesnt work, well it detect one of my HDD now but then, when i check into bios it doesnt show the information such as, capacity 0mb , cylinder 0 etc all 0

ok go here and download and re-instal the chipset drivers and then try

make sure you select the correct os and motherboard/socket

was using f7d and now updated to f9e still no luck

well i cant even get to windows >< since my primary HDD wont get detected on bios.

have you selected your os hd as first boot device in bios??

i did plu in my os hdd into sata_0 slot, but on the bios it doesnt detect any of my HDD, so if you look at the bios all my HDD master,slave,etc will say NONE.

it just happen, yesterday was functioning properly

have you tried loading optimized defaults in the bios and re-booting? i mean in the bios youll have to look under every option and make sure that your operating system hard drive is selected as your first boot device in the bios set it save and exit, you could try plugging it into another sata slot too

yeah i did everything, clear cmos, update bios, load optimized default, swapping sata slot still it just wont detect any of the HDD.

i know, but then the bios wont just detect the HDD how can i put it into primary boot when everything say none ><

got 2 X seagate 1tb, and 1 DVD rom LG.

and you re installed chipset drivers? only thing else you could try is to remove the cmos battery on the motherboard and leave it out overnight then put back in and try

i dont the chipset driver is the problem, for the past month everything working flawlessly untill today when i tried to boot up, boot up fail check bios and it doesnt detect any of my hdd. think i will just rma it

it could have corrupted something it happens,chipset drivers control all the usb sata ports ect its worth a try just install over the ones installed it will be ok
