    Re: Ga-p35-ds3l

If you're not over clocked on your CPU and RAM it's worth trying Extreme. It alters how auto sets advanced timings. Extreme will set tighter timings (lower numbers) for these values.

Be aware that it's possible that Extreme could result in your PC becoming unstable or even unbootable. Clearing the CMOS will be necessary if the auto recovery doesn't kick in.

To be honest there isn't much performance difference between the three and you can actually achieve the same or better (and more stable) results by manually tuning the timings.

Not what I observed when I was wondering about this. I didn't try Extremem but you can see the difference between Standatd and Turbo. I also didn't know anything about tRD at the time.

I'd run a benchmark to see what difference they make, and compare them also to manually set tRD.

Have you ran any benchmarks? Memory benchmarks in perticular.
