hey guys can i know if i have 3 hard disks and each one of them has 20 gigabyte (disk 1 =20 gigabyte) (disk 2=20 gigabyte) (disk 3=20 gigabyte)
and in disk 1 used 20 gigabyte and disk 2 used 15 gigabyte and disk 3 used 9.5 gigabyte .
my quistion is how do i know the maximum capacity of the stirpe how do you calculate it please i need a good explanation

First to answer we need more info. Which RAID organization are you using?

I just RAID-0 stripped They should be equal, or you will lose the larger to equal the smaller. Example:( If I use a 40GB's and a 20GB's I would loose 20GB's = 40GB's. A 40GB's and a 30GB's would = 60GB's). I have 2 disks in RAID-0 with (2) 250GB's =500GB's my C:/ I also have a 3rd in AHCI which is concidered the seperate storage device in Windows, and assigned it's own letter F:/. This is just 1 of endless ways to to organize the HDD's

ok i iknow that what do i need to know is my quistion that i have been asked because at these days iam learning computers and networks.
what do i need to know is what is the maximum stripped that i can use from three of them disk 1 disk 2 disk 3 (how do you know) and disk 1 used 20 gb disk 2 used 15 gb and disk 3 9.5gb how do you calculate the maximum stripped ??????plaese iam afraid because i have exam on that tell me
