Went to work, left pc on, went into stanby, come home dead. Before problem all I had to do was double click mouse and out of standby it went. With power supply on cmos button on board shines blue, hit power button nothing except orange and green leds come on. Cleared cmos, checked all wiring, any ideas before I start to tear into it, thanks jim

Re: Need help GA-EX58-UDP5 no start
Did all above and still nothing, blue cmos button lights up when psu is on, yellow and greed leds next to ram light up when start button is pushed. I have +5.0 volts at terminal #9 when psu is on, that is +5 volt standby, that tells me the psu is maybe ok.CPU: Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core

Re: Need help GA-EX58-UDP5 no start
Replaced psu, had to take out of a working PC, but problem solved like this guy http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/ga-e...ead-psu-39931/ Every symptom exactly. I hate when you think your getting the best of everything with a new build you have a part failure, sucks.CPU: Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core

Re: Need help GA-EX58-UDP5 no start
I realize that the psu didn't ruin anything, real lucky. I have 6 PC's and have had 3 psu failures in a year, 1 Corsair, 1 Forton and a Enermax. I have heard some horror stories of psu's cooking everything, would the manufacturer cover the loss?CPU: Intel Core i7-920 Bloomfield 2.66GHz 4 x 256KB L2 Cache 8MB L3 Cache LGA 1366 130W Quad-Core

Re: Need help GA-EX58-UDP5 no start
Wow, 3 PSU failures in 1 year! Are you maybe buying to cheap of PSU's or do you think your house wiring may be not done properly?
No, you would have a terrible time trying to get the manufacturer of the PSU to cover your other hardware if it fried.
