Overclocking Gigabyte X58A UD9

[Judge-dredd]

the X58A-UD9 & Intel 980X is Da bomb the pic below running @ 4020.2
was done by setting XMP to profile 1 and changing muliplyer to 29 Only
did not chnage anything else so with some tunning 4.6 or more should be easy
temps is what got me at moment alittle high i think
if anyone as some setting they would like to share please post them here

cinebench scores the 9.38 i got that score @3.8MHZ
and the 10.66 got that score at 4260.25MHZ
so i tak it the higher score is better does anybody no

yes the higher the score the better,i did a quick run at 4.4ghz it only shows 4.2ghz speed in the screenshot so im guessing it cant see turbo boost, and didnt even hit 8 points

i just notice in screan shot i took it shows 3.33 which is the defalt speed of the CPU
i take it. It can only see memory over clock not CPU by mulitplyer it was at 31X133 for 4260.25MHZ

Mine shows proper CPU Ghz?

I think it may be pulling the value from Windows System Information, which normally always shows the speed you installed the OS at

it didnt see turbo mode on mine,said 4.2ghz when it was at 4.4ghz,im amazed how well the 6core scores

You mean your windows install? Maybe it can't see it, since it was made before the i7's I assume that is possible

Not sure what a really high score is? Guess I will have to add this to my dry ice benching tests and see what scores are above 5Ghz

no windows sees my cpu at 2.66ghz,its the same for 3dmark 06,when i test at 3.8ghz it shows 3.6ghz cpu speed so im guessing it cant read intel turbo boost,same for cinebench

Ahh ok, ya that must be it then.

wazza300 you are right it does not see turbo
also it does now see muliuplyer only default for the chip
I just ran test again overclocking by BLCK vs mulitiplyer
BLCK 160 =4.00 Ram at 10X =1600
turbo give it 4164.69
this might sound odd but CPU run better using mulitiplyer to overclock then BLCK
