    [GA-890FX-UD5] [Realtek Azalia] [win7 x64] driver

    Have latest version Realtek R2.48 installed (tried both GB and Realtek version)<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /><o:p></o:p>
    I had it working without AHCI on 1st OS install.<o:p></o:p>
    Needed (make that must have) hot swap w/AHCI, so I reinstalled OS with latest "AMD SATA AHCI Preinstall driver".<o:p></o:p>
    2nd install is having sound card driver issues, as in; cannot find driver, per Win7 x64.<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    Already installed AMD Chipset Driver 8.71 and sound card driver would install and show up on GUI, but would not recognize any inputs.<o:p></o:p>
    Don't have ATI HDMI set up, not sure if that's the issue yet.<o:p></o:p>
    Device manager does NOT have an exclamation mark for Realtek<o:p></o:p>
    <o:p></o:p>
    Anyone else using onboard sound w/AHCI enabled?

    GIGABYTE 890FXA-UD5
    AMD Phenom II 1090T Thuban w/Arctic Silver 5
    G.SKILL Ripjaws DDR3 1600 F3-12800CL9Q-16GBRL (only 8GB installed for load/test)
    Radeon 5850 SAPPHIRE Toxic
    CORSAIR CMPSU-850HX Single Rail 70A
    OS - Mushkin Enhanced Callisto MKNSSDCL60GB
    3x - WD Caviar Black WD1501FASS 1.5TB (no raid, Data & AV file storage)
    +2x - SAMSUNG F3 HD103SJ 1TB (can Hot Swap but D/C for SW Load/test)

    i have no issues with onboard sound and ahci,try un-installing realtek/gigabyte sound drivers and reboot,win7 should load its own built in realtek drivers and you should get sound then install the gigabyte ones if you want,try to google microsoft uaa(universal audio architecture) driver and install it on its own even though it says its built into the gigabyte drivers,i had to do that for winxp when i couldnt get any onboard sound at all and it fixed it for me,dont forget to keep azalia codec enabled or on auto in the bios,try enabled if on auto

        Not to mention Basic Input Output Shenanigans

            Nice to see you guys got this sorted out, I HATE sound issues, they are always so hard to narrow down usually!
