  • Over clocking a P55A i860

Can someone out there point me to some good examples of BIOS settings for a system like mine running around 4 GHz?

I have been searching but not having a whole lot of success with my search terms.

I don't believe what I have is relevant. I have been screwing around and they don't resemble anything.

All I am looking for is that form filled in for some (preferably more than one) configuration that works.

i only wanted to see what you current settings are so i could post back what i think might work, theirs no way of hitting on a correct setting untill you tweak things as all cpu's/mb's/ram require more or less voltages than others,i can only give you a rough starting point,it will be up to you to test and tweak voltages to get it stable

          Re: Over clocking a P55A i860

For starters have you found voltages for your defaults settings? start there and then increase the blck untill you become unstable. You can find bsod codes in my sig.. once you have a OC. that you cant get stable post them here or post what you have for stable defaults settings and we can guess what voltages may be needed for that overclock then you will have to test and try them out.

also have you read the overclocking guide stickied at the top of this section or found in my sig.
