Looks ok to me,esp if temps at 64c,I'm no expert on those chips but I can't see 1.36v hurting anything aslong as temps are kept low

        Re: P67a ud4 + 2600k oc

Are temperature core temps or cpu temp?
Voltages look good too, vid range up to 1.52v I think so no problem there.
But whta's the point of having 2600k and disabling HT? Besides HT the only difference to i5-2500k is the 2MB cache, does that worth 100USD?

          Re: P67a ud4 + 2600k oc

had to run 1.385v to keep it stable at 5.0 and ppl reckon 1.4 upwards was for benching not 24/7
didnt notice much drop in games with it off but got lower vcore which must be good
          temps are core

in gaming mode me temps are 54c down to 49 which is a plus as i see it

100 usd to hit 5.0 is good this is a 24/7 OC not just too run a bench

i did find a gut who posted OC with1.54vcore got to 5.4Ghz week later he posted again
          cant clock chip fried

in Bad Company 2 i get 20 fps gain and as im in scrims for Aus and NZ any gain is good

            Re: P67a ud4 + 2600k oc

The i5-2500k will OC just as good as the i7-2600k if not better.
For most benchmarks that do not depend on multi threading the 2500k scores higher.
I was just saying that if you disable HT which is the major difference between the 2600k and 2500k you can save those 100 bucks.

I was just going "by the book" page 78 shows VID range up to 1.52v.
But this is all still new and will take some time to learn what's harmful and what is not.

been test OC tonite and my chip wont go over 5.0 mark

i did some fps Benchmarks with fraps in Bad Company 2 made for some interesting data

its a gaming rig all oc i tested in prime and no worries except the HT off which i havent primed but it went for 4 hours this morning with no crashn in BC2 will test tomorrow just to see if its stable

wouldnt have thought i could pick up 30 to 50 frames just OCing a cpu so coolies

fraps bench was done on laguna Presa from US base drove a loop on quad back to start for those interested

gona run 4.6 OC and save the 5.0 HTOn for scrims till we find out if 1.4 is really safe as a 24/7 OC voltage

              cheers

                Re: P67a ud4 + 2600k oc

LOL does it make any difference if you get 130 or 170 FPS? Sure enough the eye cannot tell the difference.
HT may not make a big difference for this game but it may with others, and will make more abvios gain in video encoding for example.
