  • Gigabyte GA-P67-UD5-B3 boot cyces

woke up this morning to my PC restarting over and over after being shut down for 7-9hrs during the night. It never makes it to the bios screen just recycles after a few sec
this build is less then 1 week old and everything has been great until today, benching / gaming for hours. with a modest OC after resetting the CMOS and running default everything seems to start ok I have been running the OC for 3 days now stable any suggestions as to why the restarts?

Could have not been as stable as you thought? So you have it up and running normally now right?

Did you run stability testing though, like Prime95?

Nice to hear it's running now though, I wasn't sure at first!

tested w/ prime95/linX/vantage/pi all no errors bumped the vcore to 3.90v so maybe that will work

I thought that was probably what you meant :)

Nice overclock man! Is x52 your max multi? If so try x51 and then more Bclk to see if you can go above that.

Still learning a little at a time. 1st Gigabyte board ive owned, since its not that ugly blue board and the way this one running it wont be my last. been on AMD the last 10yrs and intel/Gigabyte is new to me its a learning curve, but im getting there.

                    Re: Gigabyte GA-P67-UD5-B3 boot cyces

Switch from AMD eh, nice choice to move to Intel now!

P67 isn't too hard to play with, not very much at all you can tweak, so you should pick it all up pretty quickly since these CPU's are so limited. Good luck tweaking and testing, let us know if you get stuck with anything.
