Hey guys, It's has been a while since I've posted anything here, I sold my Rig a while ago, which Lsdmeasap helped me put toghether, and bought a G51jx Gaming laptop, and I have now decided it's time to build a PC on a budget of around $2000.
I have always been happy with gigabyte products and found them to be reliable, both in service and products. Therefore my build consists of a few Gigabyte Parts, I thought it would be most suitable to make the topic here so I can get the best answer/advice possible.
Here is my current project plan, I'm open for tips and suggestions:
- CASE:Thermaltake Level 10 GT = $309
- CPU:i7 2600K = $325
- MOBO:GIGABYTE P67A-UD4B3 = $215
- RAM:PQI-Turbo 8G Kit (4Gx2) 2000MHz = $152
- OPTICAL:LG SATA Blu-Ray Writer= $115
- GPU:GIGABYTE 2GB HD6950= $275
- HDD/SSD: = $119
- HDD2:WD GREEN 1TB (EXISTING)
- PSU:Gigabyte ODIN 720W = $95
- SCREEN:Asus = $229
- COOLING:CORSAIR H70 LIQUID COOLER = $149
- HEADSET:PLANTRONICS 777 = $69
- KEYBOARD:LOGITECH G110 = (EXISTING)
- MOUSE:MICROSOFT SIDEWINDER X5 (EXISTING)
- TOTAL = $2052
I watch a review which said Hybrid Hdd/ssd drives are just as fast, or almost as fast as SSD drives, please let me know if I'm doing anything wrong, or if there could be a better combination relative to the budget price.
I'm not sure if the memory is suitable for the build, here are the details:
