    Hello ,

I bought yesterday 2x2GB Kingston Hyperx Blu DDR3 1600MHz ,I know that my motherboard supports ddr3 1600MHz , after I installed the two pieces my computer starts to beep or reset , then I tried to install just one piece and then it worked the pc recognized it ,I changed the DRAM Voltage to 1.64v and then installed the second ram and the pc then recognized the two rams , my problem now that my computer freezes at the loading of the windows (at the black screen with the window picture) sometimes freezes when it enters the windows .

are there any tweeks that I should do ?

Re: Gigabyte EP45C-DS3R (2x2GB Kingston Hyperx Blu DDR3 1600MHz) problem

First thing to do is load optimized defaults, set Performance Enhance to standard.
Second void C.I.A.2, if you want to overclock do it manually.
Set RAM Voltage as needed, and one click up MCH Core to start with.
At default FSB maximum possible DDR is 1066, for DDR-1600 you will need to run with 400MHz FSB.

Please post a screen capture of MemSet main and SPD(click spd) windows.
Also fill your forum sgnature with the system specs, and please review the ram model, google search for only finds this thread :-)

      Changes I made :
      C.I.A.2 .................................: Disable
System Memory Multiplier (SPD) ..............: 400MHz

      tRAS.......................................... 27

and it worked great without any problems ,The windows didn't freeze

      Thanks for the help Chike.

Have you began by loadin optimized defalts? If you don't have a RAID setup this should not be of any problem.
Why use tRAS 27? it is 20 for 1066, you can just leave everything on auto.
For some reaso tRD(Static tRead Value in BIOS, Performance Level in MemSet) is different for each channel, chan you check the BIOS settings?
If you want higher DDR rate 1333 or 1600 some overclocking is nesessarry.

I changed tRAS to 27 because I saw it on the sticker (LOL) of the ram (9-9-9-27).I thought maybe better be 27 .
          the default is 24 .
I will check the bios again .

Re: Gigabyte EP45C-DS3R (2x2GB Kingston Hyperx Blu DDR3 1600MHz) problem

It is 9-9-27 for DDR-1600(800), DDR-1066(533) timings are 7-7-7-20 and don't even need all the 1.65v, maybe a bit more than 1.5v. According to the SPD 1.5v is sufficient.
As I have already said. 1066 is max you can get with default 266MHz FSB.
