If its a revision 1 motherboard then yes it will have SATA port defects,is it printed b1 on the mb itself? You need to see if its printed on the mb as you could have a b3 in a b1 box

You can request an rma with gigabyte who will replace it with a b3 board, free of charge

Its says B3 on the board but its a sticker pasted onto the PCB board? I already sent in my request, I'll post back in a month or so when it arrives. Thanks Wazza for all your help!

        Re: Gap67a-ud5-b2

        OK,
Got this back from gigabyte. Started to overclock just fine then boom, reboot loop. Only thing I can think of is the cold bug issue? As I'm booting near freezing? Wazza can you point me at a bios template or settings guide for this board, as I've read a few "guides" on the sandy bridge they had different opinions on settings in the bios. I saw a gigabyte bios over clocking guide to sandy bridge, it got me to 5.0. But now it seems like the board is gimped, it will boot into the bios saying the setting are good at 5.1Ghz then in windows its at default 3.4Ghz. Or maybe a beta bios, I really like this board. I know its wants to shine, just really frustrating to get this far and.........
any and all help are welcome!! Thank you!

            OK,
More or less Right now I'm just changing the multi on each core, I open the processor menu, then on the top two core I'll set it to say "48" bottum two I set them to "46", just under the last core there is an "turbo power limit" voltage I change it to "120" from 95. I was following this guide Sandy Bridge Overclocking Guide . Went to boot, at first it reverted back to X34 or the stock settings but when the screen comes up it freezes then goes into a reboot loop. Tried the F6, and F5 bioses. I will try going back to the others now. More or less those are the settings I was trying last night, it wouldn't even clear CMOS. I removed the battery left the PSU unplugged over night, I'll mess with it after work tonight.

            My setup is:
            i7 2600K Water
            GA-P67A-UD5-B3
8(4X2) of Gskill ripjaws set to 1600

That's just for turbo though? You need to raise CPU multiplier to increase oc,then set CPU voltage and set qpi/vtt voltage, maybe between 1.2-1.3v CPU voltage and between 1.16-1.18v for qpi/vtt,set dram voltage to what's printed on your ram,nay need more CPU and qpi voltage, you would need to test

When I set each core it auto changes the multi, I just booted at 5.0 I set the CPU voltage to 1.425, upon reboot the board over volted my CPU to 1.68 WTF! Small wonder the board seems so flaky when my CPU is pretty much junk now!

dont know much about p67 bios, but you should be able to just raise the cpu multi for all four cores without having to set each core one by one? check to see if dvid is enabled and on auto,if so it will add extra cpu voltage, try disabling it

Past 4.8 you have to adjust the voltage manually or it won't post, I reverted back to the F6 bios as when it over volted it was on F4 bios. I know its not like the 775 sockets you can't brute force them. Nor is it like the 1366 X58 boards or the P55's. It seems it will fly at almost 5Mhz, just needs a little loving. Right now I'm trying to figure out how to run three GPU's on it, I'd like to get some HWbot points for my team. I'm slowly learning. I can raise the multi for all four with out setting them one by one, I can do either way really. Was following the guide at Gigabyte UK, that's how he said to do it is why I was doing that.

                    Sandy Bridge Overclocking Guide

I know with some time and patience it will work out. Not so much brute force is really needed, today I was going along fine @4.5Mhz on 1.38v on the CPU not really raising anything else, many say the trick is to over clock sandy bridge in windows not the bios like everybody is used to doing. This seems to hold true as there are voltage fluctuations in the system and if yer over clocked and not in windows then they are more likely to happen when entering it...... I'll keep posting my findings.
