    Problems with z77x-D3H

    Hey guys
    I recently built a new comp with 3570k and the D3H board.
    It's working great but I am having a few problems.

    My computer specs:
    CPU: i5-3570k
    Mobo: GA-Z77X-D3H - latest BIOS
    RAM: 8GB(two 4gb sticks in dual channel config) Crucial Ballistix Tactical 1600 CL8
    GPU: XFX 7950 Double D
    System hard drive: Crucial M4 128GB - latest firmware
    PSU: SeaSonic M12II 620 watts Bronze certified
    Other stuff: Asus DVD-RW, D-link PCI wireless adapter, Seagate Barracuda hard drive for storage

    Problems:
    1. BSOD if the computer resumes from sleep mode
    This only happens if the computer was in sleep mode for a long time. I don't know exactly how long but if it's shorter than 1 hour, the computer can resume without BSOD.
    The mobo's BIOS is the most recent version.
    I tried different graphics card and RAM. Didn't help.

    2. Periodic ET6 crash
    ET6, newest version, randomly crashes and closes itself multiple times per day. I am not even actively using the program when it happens.
    Windows pops up a box saying that the program has encountered an error. Something about MFC application.

    3. No voltage control for the sys_fan headers.
    I have 3-pin case fans connected to the sys_fan headers on the motherboard and they are all running at max rpm. The motherboard doesn't seem to be controlling them by voltage. I checked BIOS settings to make sure fan control is enabled.
    PWM fans are properly controlled.

    Welcome to the forum,

    As for the BSOD what is the exact stop error number? It would look something like 0x000000124 or 0x0000000101. You can also look in the system event viewer and see the stop error also. Once you know that you can take a look at the BSOD error code link in my sig and find the correction. Also for sleep to work 100% the system has to be 100% stable also. What stablity test have you run, like Prime95 or LinX/IBT?

    As for the ET6 make sure you have the latest version installed. I think my ET6 keep crashing on me also so I stopped using it and just use GTL(Gigabyte Tweaklauncher). You can change bclk, cpu multi, voltages, and memory timings.

    As for the fans not sure.

      The computer isn't overclocked btw. Everything is at stock. I have ran Prime95 and IBT. No errors of course.

      According to your link, the solution is "Corrupted OS file, possibly from overclocking. Run sfc /scannow and chkdsk /r"
      Again, the computer isn't overclocked. sfc and chkdsk is one of the first things I did. No errors.

      I already said I am running the latest version of ET6. I am wondering if the frequent crash has something to do with a defect in the mobo.

        Ok the system is stock but are you running your voltages on auto or did you manually set your voltages? Even at stock settings you should never you Auto setting for voltages. It can undervolt or overvolt settings and can change between startup/reboots. Also what test did you do with prime95 and how long did you run the test for? or with IBT did you test with MAX memory and for how many passes. Prime95 you should have ran blend test for at least 4-8 hrs and IBT Max memory for at least 10 passes.
        It is possible that from the system crashing doing wake up or going to sleep that the system could have currupted it self. I to have gotten that error and did not really have to scan the hard drive. How may times does that 0x7e appear?

        I would hold off on the ET6 problem until you get your system 100% stable and running correctly. But I think my ET6 would crash when I was stress testing the system. Again I would not worry to much about this atm.

          I ran Prime95 blend for 10 hours without error. Ran IBT at maximum stress level for 10 passes without error.

          0x7e is the error code for the BSOD that happens when waking up from sleep. What do you mean how many times it appear?

          BSOD only happens when WAKING up from sleep. Doesn't happen when going to sleep.
          Also, it only happens when it was in sleep mode for a long time, like longer than one hour.
          All of this is 100% repeatable.

            What is yyour VGA driver version? latest version is Catalyst 12.6. FAN Speed control supports 4-pin fan only (refer to manual page 10)
