Re: Which CPU supports the F4 BIOS?

Is the correct base clock setting 100.01 Mhz or 100.10 Mhz?
Installed OS and drivers but the 4 boxes on the welcome screen seem to stop suddenly and then I get the logon screen....any ideas folks? The debug reads A0.

Re: Which CPU supports the F4 BIOS?

You can set bclk to which ever you like. It should be 100.00 but if you want it to read 100.00 in windows set it to 100.03 in bios.

What 4 boxes on the welcome screen seem to stop suddenly? If your boot drive is SSD then all you should see doing boot up is the gigabyte boot screen then you should see the 4 colored balls appear forming the windows logo but they might not complete the whole logo then you should see the welcome screen maybe a logon screen and/or your desktop.

A0 is for A O.K j/k i dont know what it stands for but yeah thats normal.

Re: Which CPU supports the F4 BIOS?

Thanks for that Acebmxer. When I set the BCLK in the BIOS to 100.00 and then when I reboot it tends to stop booting and I am informed that it is just below 100.00, so I increased the setting to 100.10 as this seems to be stable. There are others UD5H owners who have inputted 100.1......I take it that's the same as 100.10?

Yeah thats fine. you can even push it higher, I dont know what max bclk on these cpu's. But setting 100.03 - 100.10 is fine.

Thanks for the rely Acebmxer, the F6 BIOS seems OK at the moment so I'll stay with that for the time being and update if and when necessary.

            Cheers
