GA-X79S-UP5 problem SAS ports

hi, maybe some can help me,
i have the mother GA-X79S-UP5, and the bIOS update is F4, but the SAS port dosent work.
y connect sata disk, but not appeare,

this sas port is only for RAID?

THEN i coonect 4 disk 1.5tb seagate, for RAID0, but didnt work as well. didnt appeare.

sorry my english.

someone happened the same?

this update BIOS fix this?
