  • Does a Runcore 1.8" ZIF PRO IV work in DMA 5 on the Sony UX serie?

I see on internet many reports of users saying that they cannot manage to use the DMA in mode 5 on their Sony UX notebook (UX280, UX380,...): it seems that, on the UX serie, the previous version of the Runcore 1.8" PATA ZIF model only works with a DMA in mode 2.
(one example can even be found on this Forum: http://forums.tweaktown.com/f78/runc...2-ata33-32884/)

Has the new version '1.8" PATA ZIF PRO IV' the same limitation, or can it use the DMA in mode 5 on the UX serie?

Previous versions of the runcore 1.8 PATA Zif were able to be used in DMA 5 or 6.

The problem is that on the Sony UX serie, the Runcore SSDs are recognized only in DMA mode 2 (spite the fact that the replaced HDD was before recognized in DMA mode 5 and was working well in this mode on the UX PC).

So, super, the new version can work in ultra DMA mode 7 --BTW, the max possibility of the UX serie is DMA mode 5...--, but my question is still not answered: has Runcore, or somebody else, tested the new version PRO IV inside a Sony UX, and is it correctly recognized and usable in ultra DMA mode 5?
